During the course of this study, the Goads hope to journey with other parents, in frank discussion, on the various methods and principles brought up in the book. Boundaries Can I set limits and still be a loving person? How do I answer someone who wants my time, love, energy, or money? What are legitimate boundaries? A boundary is a line that marks those things for which we are responsible. Boundaries define who we are and what we are not. They impact all areas of our lives: Physical; Mental; Emotional; Spiritual. Having clear boundaries is essential to a healthy, balanced lifestyle. The book "Boundaries," by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend, addresses specific issues that confront today's Christians. Issues such as: Living a life out of control; Having people take advantage of us; Having trouble saying no; Being disappointed with God because of unanswered prayers and much more. Cost of materials is approximately $25.00 (includes book and workbook). |

Face to Face, Praying for Leaders This prayer group is focused on praying for others based on II Timothy 2:1-4 (New Living Translation)"I urge you first of all, to pray for all people. As you make your requests, plead for God's mercy upon them, and give thanks. Pray this way for kings and all others who are in authority, so that we can live in peace and quietness, in godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, for He wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. We want to develop faithfulness in praying for our Vanguard leadership, people in various positions of authority, and those that are not yet in a REAL relationship with Jesus in our city, state, and nations of the earth. Remember this quote, “Prayer is God's invitation to enter His throne room so He can lay His agenda over our hearts." from Experiencing Prayer with Jesus by Henry and Norman Blackaby. We will meet in Alan and Jeremy's office directly behind the X-cafe. Childcare is available. |

Faithful & True:Sexual Integrity in a Fallen World Led by Kevin Uzri @ 7:00 pm This small group is for men in a lifetime battle with sexual sin. Life change is the goal - to understand how sexual sin happens and become faithful and true again. By getting to the root of the issue, we will expose the real reasons behind our addictions and learn how to battle them. This is not a quick-fix program, like a fad diet that works while you're on it and then fails when you stop. This is a change of lifestyle to enable you to win the battle of sexual integrity. Regardless of the sexual sins you have committed, HOPE EXISTS. If you are willing to be rigorously honest and courageous, then Faithful and True is for you. For more information, contact Kevin at kevinuzri@adelphia.net or 331-5989. |

Healing Prayer Jesus urges in Matthew 10:8-“Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received. Freely give.” This was not a commission to a historical elite generation, but to all believers equipped by the Spirit and redeemed by the saving blood of Christ Who is the same yesterday, today and forever. Jesus heals today, and asks us to bring this present day reality to the hurting, broken world He loves. In this study we will explore the biblical basis for healing, the miracles of Jesus, past and present healing evangelists, cultivating a heart and atmosphere of faith, and most importantly~ drawing near to the heart of the Father so we may do and say only that which is in alignment with His will and decree. In the last two weeks we will put it into practice as we bring healing prayer out into the community. |

Inner Transformation: Desperate into Dynamic Women With so many of our needs being met on a daily basis, why is it that so many of us as women experience a desperate longing within? Knowing we are cherished is a drive and need we all have, as important as have food, air, and water. And whether or not we experience external validation of our worth, belonging, and value, for many of us these very valid needs go unanswered. Join us in the Bible Study “Inner Transformations: From Desperate to Dynamic Women” to journey through the process of learning from within how to have these desperate longings and cravings filled to abundance through very practical and understandable ways. |

K-Group East (After Greek 'Koinonia') Our vision is to become a community of people who live life together, enacting our core values: loving God, loving each other, loving those outside the group, and growing in our faith through Bible study, worship, prayer, and accountability. Along with our weekly meetings we get together for dinner, parties, recreation, and just try to live life in community. There is no targeted demographic, but for now we are mostly young married couples without children and single young adults. Our desire is for others from other life stages to come along side us and eventually lead new k-groups. If you believe in the vision of cell groups we would love to have you join us. Satisfy My Thirsty Soul As a Christian woman, you yearn for intimacy with God. You long to know His presence, to be satisfied in heart and soul, but you don't know how. You want to be obedient, but you need a higher motivation than simply choosing to do right. Linda Dillow understands. And now in Satisfy My Thirsty Soul, she shares with you her lifelong discovery that both longings can be met—through worship. True worship is both a specific act and a lifestyle. As you learn what it means to bow your knee (the act of worship), you'll gain a renewed intimacy with God. And as you learn to bow your thoughts, words, work, attitudes, will, and even pain (the lifestyle of worship), you'll be drawn into God's holy and life-giving presence—the place where God will truly satisfy your thirsty soul. No childcare is provided. Location: Vanguard Church. Participants must purchase the book, Satisfy My Thirsty Soul, by Linda Dillow. |
