The CoNeXtion is Vanguard's ministry to singles and is the place where you can meet new people and build significant relationships. The CoNeXtion ministry creates an environment for single's to:

Care - Take the risk to be known and trusted in a small group over a long period of time.

Nvest -Let the fingerprints of your life's service exist longer than you will. Leave a legacy.

Xperience - Join the journey of pursuing REAL relationships with people and with the God of our universe.

Paul wrote in Ephesians, "I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is (3:17-19)." It's our desire that people begin a REAL relationship with Jesus Christ.

There is a deep passion at Vanguard to leave something significant for our world and to provide environments where God can be experienced and people can connect relationally with each other. Your invited to be cared for and to care for others, to be invested in and to invest in others, and to experience God's powerful love and the opportunity to express it to others.

There are three (3) main avenues we have provided for people to get to know one another.

R-Groups (Recreational & Relational) are designed and facilitated around the leader and the type of group they are leading. R-Groups vary in the frequency that they meet and how long the group will last. All of the dynamics of the group are developed by the leader and those who are participating. R-Groups vary in types and are for men and women. Take a look through the different groups and contact the leader for information about the group or to join the group. All R-Group information can be found on Vanguard's web page: www.myvanguardchurch.org.

No Title - Life Groups

Vanguard Church Life Group FAQ’s
1. What are Life Groups?
Life Groups provide an avenue for Vanguard families and individuals to connect with each other in a new way. Each Life Group meets weekly and spends time building relationships with one another through discussion of the weekend message and it’s application in our lives. Some Groups also incorporate other topics of discussion as determined by the leaders. Unlike most Small Group options, Life Groups continue meeting each semester and participants have the option to stay in the Group for as long as they like. The purpose is to engage one another in relationships that are real and significant. Be prepared to make lasting friendships and grow spiritually as you share life experiences in this powerful ministry.

2. What is the format of Life Groups?

Although this is not mandatory, most Life Groups discuss the message from the previous weekend and process the way that it applies in our daily lives and experiences. They pray together, encourage each other, serve the various needs in the group and in the process build deeper relationships and share life’s real experiences together.3. How are the Life Groups structured?
a. How many people in each group?
10-12 people max. (5-6 couples)
b. What role does the leader play?
The leader facilitates group discussion, interaction, care and socialization. If possible, the leader also provides the venue for the meeting and organizes refreshments (if applicable) and other minor details.
c. What are the responsibilities?
In addition to the above information, the expectation is that these groups meet every week on a specific day of the week. That day can be different for each group, which allows more flexibility. Each group will work out it’s own childcare arrangements. Childcare arrangements are not mandatory and are left to the discretion of the leaders.

4. What are the meeting time frames? (Long-term and short term)
Life Group meetings typically last about 2 hours. Of course the leadership will be directing that to some extent. Each group will run on the existing trimester basis (10 weeks) at which point participants are free to join another small group or remain in the group they started in. There would be no organized group meetings in the summer. Of course, individual groups may choose to do their own extracurricular activities during that time.

5. What type of curriculum is used?
The leaders determine the actual curriculum. Typically, groups will discuss 3-5 questions that are based on Kelly’s message from that week. The objective is to take the message and process it in the context of people’s daily lives. The curriculum is not the focal point of gathering. It is simply a tool for getting people to share their lives and relate to each other. We suggest contacting the leaders individually to inquire about the format of their particular Group.

6. Is this a Bible Study?
It is important to know that formal biblical training is not required of Life Group leaders. The objective is to simply present questions and promote open and honest discussion. Life Groups are not designed to be Bible Studies or provide answers to challenging life issues. Difficult theological or personal matters are directed to the appropriate church leadership.

7. How long must I commit to being in a group?
We ask that you commit to fully participate in your Life Group for a minimum of one trimester (10 weeks). After that time, you are free to stay in the Group or depart without question or obligation.

8. How do I get connected?
If you are interested in joining a Life Group, you can view information on the available groups at the Relation Station or by contacting the Church office. The Relation Station information includes the leaders names, the focus of the group if applicable, the meeting times and location and the slots available at that time. Once you sign up for a particular Group, you should be contacted by the leader to confirm your participation and answer any questions you may have. You may also feel free to contact a leader to learn more before you sign up for the group. While it is preferable to sign up at the beginning of a trimester, you may enter a Group at any time if space is available

Who we are - Restoration Ministry

The Restoration Ministry believes that lies we believed or vows we made during the wounding events of our lives shape the way we interact with the world around us. The Restoration Ministry team desires to help other uncover these lies and vows and invite the Lord Jesus Christ to speak to the person in these wounds and resulting beliefs.

We believe that many of the recurring struggles in our lives and relationships are a result of false beliefs we hold about whom we are in Christ and about whom he is. This often results in us believing one thing with our mind, but finding our heart believing and leading us astray. We have seen people set free from sexual and drug additions, marriage conflict, and anger issues. We have seen the Lord speak to and heal sexual, physical, mental and emotional abuse issues as well as issues of neglect and failure to receive necessary mental, emotional and physical support. However, most importantly we have seen the Lord move people into deeper personal relationship with him and the other relationships in their lives.

There are two ways to get involved in the Restoration Ministry. Restoration Ministry has a team that ministers as a pairs to those wanting ministry, based on availability of ministry teams. Restoration also runs a seminar "Hearing Gods Heart", once attending the seminar follow-up TREK groups will give you the opportunity to minister and be ministered to in a men's or women's group.

Mission Statement - Restoration Ministry

Based on Isaiah 57, 58, and 61; 2 Corinthians 4; Galatians 5; Colossians 1:28, 29; Ephesians 1:17; and Matthew 11:29.

As a ministry called to freedom, Restoration Ministries will be a group of "recovering restorers." Gentle and humble in heart, we will function as earthen vessels, knowing that true healing power is of God and not of ourselves. As Jesus brings His light into each life, we will help people experience Him as He frees the captives and binds up the brokenhearted. We will renounce the things hidden and remove the obstacles that keep each one from the freedom for which he or she was called. We desire to be used to rebuild the foundation of peoples' lives as true knowledge of His identity and our identity in Him is restored. We will strive to see people freed to grow in purity, maturity, and to experience the fruit of the Spirit and all of the gifts the Lord has for them.
